Art

(Visual) language shapes how social conditions are perceived and understood. In its artistic form, it opens up spaces for expression in which experiences can be articulated that often remain unspeakable in professional discourse.

Current projects (excerpt)

Freelance photographer. Ongoing. Link

I capture architecture, silence, and spaces with a minimalist and expressive eye. My photographs explore the tension between structure and emotion—always with a clear intention. Visual spaces emerge in which transnationality, inner ruptures, and the longing for belonging condense into reflections and transitions.

Short novel. "Between them lies the sea." Ongoing.

"Between Them Lies the Sea" is an autofictional short novel about Islam, illness, and migration after September 11, 2001. The narrative follows the main character in fragments as she negotiates cases of physical and mental disability in her own family, recurring experiences with racism in the public and the media, and the eternal feeling of being a stranger to the world and to herself.

Where are you from (WAYF). 2025. Issue No. 1. "The Tuba Tree". link

The text reflects on belonging from a post-migrant and decolonial perspective. In a poetic, fragmentary form, it explores the experience of alienation, memory, trauma, and identity, particularly after September 11, 2001. It interweaves autobiographical scenes with social analysis and poses the question of what it means to feel connected despite exclusion and loss.

Honich – Magazine for Literary Texts. 2023. Issue 5. "Prometheus." Link

The text interweaves personal father-son experiences with mythical and religious imagery, exploring the tension between origin and self-determination. Migration, spirituality, and identity overlap in a visually powerful, somnambulistic language.

Language in the Technological Age (Spr.itZ). 2021. "Gibraltar (Excerpts)". Link

The text explores, in excerpts, the experiences of a growing boy between Germany and Morocco. At its core is his relationship with his father, marked by love, alienation, and political and cultural turmoil. The text weaves intimate memories, experiences of migration, and postcolonial reflections into a multi-layered narrative about identity, origins, and belonging.
